Car Park Permits
How do I buy a parking permit?
The previous parking permit scheme has now been replaced with the Discovery Pass. This new scheme is a partnership between East Sussex County Council and The Forestry Commission.
Discovery Pass holders will have free parking at the following car parks:
- Abbot’s Wood (Forestry Commission, Arlington)
- Butchershole (Forestry Commission, Jevington)
- Litlington Road (Forestry Commission, between West Dean and Littlington villages)
- Seven Sister Country Park (Riverside car park south of the A259 and forest car park next to the Exceat building complex)
In addition to this Discovery Pass holders will also receive:
- 10% off Paramo clothing
- Adult CTC membership for just £15. CTC membership includes: £10m third party insurance, a weekly e-newsletter and a big range of discounts on cycling products
- 20% off Go Ape! across the country. Monday – Friday in term time (conditions apply)
- 15% off Forest Holiday cabins
- A quarterly e-newsletter packed with information about events, activities and wildlife in the Forests and Seven Sisters Country Park.
The Discovery Pass costs £25 and it now allows two registered cars access to the sites, however it can only be used with one car at any one time. Additional passes are £25.

Alternatively passes can be purchased from the Seven Sisters Country Park Visitor Centre during the opening times stated on the Visitor Centre Page.
The Visitor Centre will accept cash sales only. No cheques or debit cards. We will require your name, address and car registration to be able to issue your pass.

Visitors arriving by motorbike do not need to pay parking fees (unless they are using the campsite) or purchase a permit.
Visitors with large vehicles (such as minibuses) should enquire at the Visitor Centre for a large vehicle pass.
