Kayaking & paddle boarding
Buzz Active Cuckmere has qualified instructors who are capable of providing expert tuition for all ranges of practical abilities. Buzz Active have a range of kayaks, open canoes and stand up paddle boards at the centre for tuition and you can hire sit on top kayaks and stand up paddle boards.
Hire is available by the hour on the meanders and can be booked by calling the centre on the number below, or you can arrive and see what is available.
Opening hours vary but from April to end of October the centre is open for hire 10am – 5pm and late on Thursdays subject to availability. We will also be open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings throughout 2022.

Members of the public can use the meanders for canoeing or paddle boarding at any time. However, commercial groups/ coaches or providers arriving onsite expecting to access must obtain a commercial operators licence from Buzz Active to access the slipway.
Anyone accessing the meanders by canoe or paddleboard must use the dedicated wharf in the South Car Park and not the slipway at Buzz Active– this is the only permitted entry and exit point in the interest of preserving the banks of the meanders. Anyone who uses other areas to enter or exit the water may unfortunately be asked to leave the site.
