Heritage Open Days – Military History Talk & Tour 1

Start: September 16 @ 11:00 am
Admission: Free

As part of Heritage Open Days 2025, join local historian Ian Everest for a leisurely walk between Exceat and the sea. Expect to find out about an innovative Home Guard Officer, a wartime deception initiative, why fishing boats had to be wary of rifle fire – and a fine set of Dragon’s Molars!

The walk will last between 1.5 – 2 hours and will be about 2 miles in length.

Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather forecast and suitable footwear for a walk in the countryside.

Tours are free but pre booking is required. A donation towards the upkeep of Seven Sisters Country Park is always appreciated.

There are pay & display car parks at the Seven Sisters Visitor Centre, along with refreshment and lunch facilities for before or after your tour.
